| Description : | In the Heart of the Somerset Levels Countryside in Muchelney we have 4 custom built holiday cottages. Come and enjoy the peace and tranquillity a perfect base to enjoy walking, cycling, bird watching, photography, countryside and the historical monuments that the area has to offer. The cottages are in the grounds of Gothic House, a lovely example of Victorian Gothic Revival architecture. There are beautiful gardens and farm animals. There are many walks to enjoy from the doorstep and around the area. If you are a large group you can book a combination of cottages so that you can be together. * Pets welcomed * Excellent Walking * Weekend and short breaks * Close to historic Muchelney and other sites * Nearby attractions * Wireless Internet access * Extremely Comfortable, Cosy Cottages In the grounds and gardens you can enjoy the numerous sculptures, plants and flowers we have. Sit out and have a BBQ and it feels like another world. A large inglenook fireplace with wood burner gives Ivy Cottage and old world appeal. The large open plan area downstairs has a pine kitchen. There is a dining area as well as comfortable lounge area. The front door leads on to a courtyard where you can sit, relax and enjoy the weather. Stairs lead up to a very large double bedroom with a handmade King size bed with a velux window above the bed so you can lay back and enjoy the stars. The bathroom leads off the bedroom and has a bath with shower above. |
